Zoom
Roll the wheel = move in and out, centred on the cursor.
Two taps on the wheel = the whole drawing fits on the screen (Zoom Extents). The 【全体表示】 (Zoom Extents) button at the bottom right does the same (on a sheet, it fits the whole sheet).
Pan (sliding the drawing)
There are two hands for this. Either one does the same job.
- Hold the middle button down and drag (the traditional hand).
- Hold the space bar and drag with the left button (the palm hand).
Both hands work inside the print preview as well.

Tabs (one for each drawing)
- + = a new drawing (⌘T, or NEW in the Command Line, do the same).
- Click a tab = go to that drawing. Click it again = rename it (the spine itself becomes the field; type and press Enter to accept, Esc to cancel).
- Copy (CO) can cross tabs. Window-select on tab 2 → CO → pick the base point → move to tab 1 and paste.
- The drawing you are looking at is brighter, taller, and lit sky-blue along its top. That colour runs right around the drawing area, so “the contents of this tab are inside this rectangle” is clear at a glance.
- An amber ● to the right of the name = there are changes you have not saved. ⌘S clears it (save and the mark goes — that is the sign).
- A ※ to the right of the name = a file that came from somewhere else (a drawing that will not be overwritten).
The view when you open a drawing
Open a drawing and it is fitted automatically to a size where you can see all of it.
